Mini Grant Announcement
Siouxland Human Investment Partnership will accept mini grant applications to assist family support programs, family resource center, child care centers, preschools and in-home providers in improving the quality of their programs through health and safety projects, professional development, or any project that improves the quality of the program for families or children. Applications will be taken until all funds have been allocated, or until March 31, 2010 (whichever comes first). The SHIP Board had designated $2,300 for this project. Empowerment Funds 2011
Siouxland Human Investment Partnership
Siouxland Human Investment Partnership (SHIP) is accepting applications for grant funding of programs. Funding for programs is received from Iowa Community Empowerment for Early Childhood-TANF and School Ready programs. To be considered for funding, all programs applying must be located in and serving populations in Woodbury County, benefit children 0-5, and follow one or more of the Early Childhood Community Priorities. Applications must be submitted to SHIP for the fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011) by 4:00 PM on March 15, 2010.

Fiscal Year 2011 is the second year in a 3 year grant cycle, therefore it is a grant renewal year. All programs currently funded may submit a renewal application for consideration. Programs awarded funding in Fiscal Year 2010 will receive priority funding over new programs applying in Fiscal Year 2011 and Fiscal Year 2012.

| Centers or preschools interested in participating in SHIP’s Preschool or Child Care Scholarship programs must be licensed, utilizing an approved, evidence-based curriculum and assessment tool, and at a Level 3 or above in the Iowa Quality Rating System.* Please use this application for Preschool or Child Care Scholarships: |
